In general, antimicrobial films are made by using an organic antimicrobial agent with other chemicals which might be toxic substances to human and the environment. The other method is using inorganic antimicrobial agents ( such as copper or silver) which are ionized or made into nanoparticles and used as additives in binders to be coated to PE ( Polyethylene) or PET ( Polyethylene Terephthalate) films

Since organic antimicrobial agents do not have a high antimicrobial persistence, it is not suitable to use for the antimicrobial film. When copper or silver nanoparticles are mixed with a binder and applied to PE film, the proportion of the materials deployed on the surface changes and the applied materials or the coated layer may peel off or wear out when they are cleaned which make it difficult to secure its antimicrobial effect and the persistence of the antimicrobial power.

According to each manufacturer¡¯s announcement, 99.9% of bacteria die within 24 hours on their antimicrobial film. However, the bacteria can still infect people that come in contact with these surfaces within that time.

By contrast, our antimicrobial film is composed of 100% antimicrobial copper, which kills MRSA within 6~9 minutes and Human coronavirus within a few minutes. If it is kept clean, it has a permanent antimicrobial effect and the antimicrobial duration is also permanent. It is composed of a flexible materials easily applied to surfaces, and harmless to humans and the environment.
