It is known that copper has very strong antimicrobial capabilities. The Biology Science Center of the University of Southampton reported a research paper in mBio magazine published in November 2015 by The Microbiology Association in the United States that stated that the Human Coronavirus (HuCoV-229E) inactivated in a few minutes in a simulated fingertip touch contamination test on copper C11000 (Copper 99.96%).
It was also revealed by an experiment at The Biological Science of University of Southampton that MRSA ( Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) was killed on copper within 9 minutes. Copper is able to kill Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria across all temperatures and all levels of humidity.
