Copper (Copper) is a name derived from the Latin Cuprum and is a metal with a relatively soft, elongated and stretched property with high thermal conductivity and high electrical conductivity with chemical symbol CU atomic number 29.

Although it is known that humans have been using tools and ornaments since 10,000 AD, archaeologically, it was first used by Mesopotamians around 5000 to 6000 years ago.

Copper is an electrical, electronic, and building material that has been used extensively in various industries to date, but it has been used for medical purposes in the oldest medical book, Smith's Papyrus, which is said to have been used by Egyptian doctors around 1700 B.C. It is estimated that the Egyptians used copper for medical purposes 3200 years ago.

It is also said that Chinese people used copper coins as drugs for treatment of bladder disease as well as heart and abdominal pain 1600 years ago. The Phoenicians also used bronze swords to break into battle wounds to prevent infection

It has been revealed by scientists in many fields that various bacteria or viruses are killed within two hours when they touch the surface of copper. Unlike silver, it is known to sterilize bacteria and viruses in most living environments regardless of ambient temperature and humidity.

It is used as an insecticide or disinfectant using copper compounds in various fields by using the antibacterial power of copper. Copper is used not only to kill bacteria or viruses that are harmful to the human body, but also to kill beneficial bacteria, so it is not used as a container for storing fermented foods.

There is a conflict between claims that copper accumulates in the human body and that it is harmless to the human body because its physiological mechanisms do not accumulate copper.
